ok so last week was a non-event cause i had so much uni work to do, a big fist pump to no work for a couple of days, whilst i’ve been doing my uni and travelling i’ve been hooked on brodinski the man has no limits, djing what ever he pleases, i caught a mixtape of his posted over at LA friendly (the post doesn’t exsist anymore. atl link here) it was choc full of tracks that i was not expecting from this young gun of the new wave, if you have not heard it i’m not giving it away just check it.

there is some new heat on the block from brodinski titled ‘arnold classics’ which has been in many well known dj/producer charts for months, after plenty of waiting it has hit the streets, this is a rolling terror, be sure to check it.

next up is another brodinski track but with the added twist of some yuksek inspired beats and ebony bones featuring on vocals for a mixed bag of talent that gives us a nice outcome. The track is by ‘the krays’ aka yuksek and brodinski a new venture that i’m sure we are going to see a lot more of. this is for peak hour on the floor.

Ellie Gouldings got that girl power fever ray attractive voice thing going on. Im sure theres a ton of dudes smitten by her and haven’t even seen anything apart from her misty twitter dp (she is actually quite pretty).

Anyhoo, this leads onto an official remix She Is Danger did for Ellie’s astronomical track ‘Under The Sheets’ which has seen plenty of blog and radio love. The girls are a dubstep duo outta the UK compiled of producer/vocalist Lena Cullen and Maya Jane Coles. The remix takes a different direction from the original staryness Ellie predicted and is sent to a dark and grimy place with spiraling chaotic bass.

Maya Jane Coles also has a self titled solo project and scored a mix on MSTRKRFT’s ‘Bounce’ EP due out very soon, the Doorly lick can be grabbed from LA Friendly.

LA Friendly just dropped the single ‘Lisztomania’ off Phoenix’s new album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ here, the album’s due to be released May 25th.

So as predicted ’1901′ remixes are being dropped like flies around here and to be honest they all really hold different qualities that make them great… who know’s might be the Phoenix in all of them?

David Miller of band Mother/Father’s ‘Nu Wave’ take on Phoenix’s ’1901′ has exceptional build, flow and echo’d vocals making this a new found favorite.

Lapse opened for The Bloody Beetroots about a week so from the look’s of things and I was expecting something a litte bit heavier. What I got was yes, a track with a bit more kick but compliments ’1901′ perfectly in a sense of being able to be played out or even at home.
