You got to give it to Hey Champ, they offer up charm, seamless productivity, quality catchy remixes and tunes at a whims notice.. the perfect artists some might say.
It’d be fun to know if in the future while your great grand kids are swarming over their hoverboard’s and phazer guns and listening to the newest buzz tunes on the galactic top 5000 that somehow the knowledge that hey champ existed and their music had some how swayed how the world had evolved.
Two singles off their soon-to-be-here lp ‘Star’ on Townie Records come July 13th. Sounding very much like your Van She’s, Ted and Francis’ and Cut Copy’s. I will be purchasing this.
Hey Champ are no strangers to the blog-hype-phenomenon caressing multiple tracks into glistening stardom. A small change from the norm, Pete the keyboard/synth man behind Hey Champ wanted us to all peek the ‘Winners Circle Mixtape’ they put together to feature some equally talented friends and mixes they have done or collab’d on from Priors to French Horn Rebellion to Passion Pit.

So I can understand your confusion from having two Passion Pit ‘Little Secrets’ posts on Stoney Roads but hear me out.
A. The Jack Beats Remix was tremendous, it was as if a new island emerged from the deep ocean via volcanic activity. After christening it ‘Party Island’ (10 points for originality), we would all just jump around like sweaty idiots as the newly formed mass then began growing and growing into a giant mountain higher then K2, Everest or Centerpoint without any climatic change (Thankyou global warming).
This then brings me to my second point.
B. Hey Champ are good… like really good, the type of music made from that nice warm fuzzy feeling you get inside… just spewed up and injected straight into the brain. When you add that sort of character to an already popular sound from Passion Pit then theres surely going to be some goodness OD.
Hopefully I’ve thoroughly confused most everyone, the only sensible thing to do now is grab the Hey Champ Remix of Passion Pits ‘Little Secrets’ and buy the full quality release.
Real reson I posted this was because some idiot will just blog the full 320Kbps with just an image and really steal away any value and no im not a traffic monger I like this I really like this.
