Yes we may just be overdoing it here at Stoney Roads on Passion Pit a little bit but I like to think theres a little bit of a story to go with the whole thing.

A few years ago in my younger life (blog years that is) I’d frequent a number of blogs and try scoop up the music on offer and compile music that made me happy. Having a bookmarked a number of them it was easy to shoot through, scroll and click my way to heavenly delights although there were a few blogs that made me stop, read and really digest amazing and talented artists.

A few of these were Fluokids, Electric Zoo, Ipop, Good Weather for Airstrikes, 8106 etc etc and upon following them you grew up with someone you would have never met in real life. Alot of these blogs still continue today bar Good Weather for Airstrikes who actually came to the relisation that there was a next step to just ‘blogging’ these artists and in fact support them by releasing their music.

Good Weather for Airstrikes became ‘Neon Gold‘ and released a couple singles from ‘Passion Pit‘ (you can even read the first ever post on these guys!). A few peeps caught onto the Chunk of Change EP with all time favorites ‘sleepyhead’ and ‘better things’ then the ball started rolling.

Zoom to the present and Passion Pit have defied blogging rules by staying current and not being thrown to the wind in a flurry of blogs and media attention when the newest album Mannors hit both analog and digital shelves.

Thankfully there are some gems out there in the form of a Sammy Bananas (Fools Gold) remix and Shuttles (not Shuttle the dubstepper) who is actually the ‘Pits drummer.
