Who isn’t envious of Stuart Price? be it simple fuzzy digital renditions under the moniker Thin White Duke, the more dance friendly collab with Adam Blake as Paperfaces or his more commercially appealing band Zoot Woman the roughly 4000 creative outlets all lead to an eventual success in one way or another.

The release of Zoot Womans ‘Things Are What They Used To Be’ from Bandroom Records proved to be a huge success for the band and moved into a lot of peoples top albums of the year with my personal expectations for a heap of pleasing remixes to surface.

‘Just A Friend Of Mine’ is the first sample of things to come in what Zoot Womans moving originals can be transformed into. Chris Fraser lays down some squeaky clean running synth over both the remix and dub with Jump Jump Dance Dances more fascinating and natural fun-pop version will leave you dancing!

Geez wish i’d checked my emails earlier and my weekend would have had an extra helping of beautiful 3 piece San Fran synth-pop group Good Luck at the Gunfight! The simplicity to it all is what striked me the most;

‘We play a sort of synth heavy, pop 80s-ish dance music. The two new songs that I’m sending you are electric summer love songs. Kimberly is about a girl. Puma is about a woman. They sound like our garage cause that’s where we made them’

Also Bandroom Records + Onelove just signed Dragonette and are releasing her fourthcoming album in September and are playing some live shows in NYC and TO at The Mercury Lounge June 16th and Koolhaus June 18th.

To celebrate the occasion Automatic Panic and Dj Cat did a one two on Dragonettes new single ‘Fixing to Thrill’. Lots of sound at first but hits a strong stride of guitar riffs and catchy vocals.

Come the 29th of May Bandroom Records pa-lus ESR are proud to announce ‘Valerie and Friends’!

To get an idea of the sound you would have to jump back in time, (somewhere around 1973), get on your dancing shoes, add copious amounts to drink plus more and step on the disco squares along with your flares and your getting close. A combination of street rad the Ed Banger crews throwing around (welcome Breakbot), classic style and production and a whole lot of french.

Expect names such as Anoraak, College, Maethelvin, Mintel Rose, The Outrunners, Russ Chimes and Futurecop to bend and warp what you once thought you knew (tracklisting in comments).
