Bang Gang Presents ‘One Million Volts of Tech No’
History Time!
Bang Gangs life started off in the melting pot that is Sydney, residencing at Moulin Rouge then taking the party down the road to the (in)famous club 77 and officilised the ‘bat cave’ status. Many a hot, sweaty and bleary nights and early mornings were spent in that dank dakr hole.
From there Bang Gang would work together and as individuals with Ajax, Doom, Gus, Damage and Nolan doing seperate projects then finally pulling there scat-tastic powers in form and releasing ‘Light Sound Dance’, which set off international tours and and sent waves through a early crowning electro scene. Bang Gang have always been part of the Australian scene in one form or another showboating and boundary stepping flirtatious behaviour with boys and girls on and off the decks at festivals and clubs.
It seemed like the only thing the guys could do now was provide a way to release artists. So in all Bang Gang fashion, ‘Bang Gang 12 Inches‘ was born, housing a stable full of studs and ponies in the form of Shazam, Bag Raiders, Damn Arms, Lost Valentinos, ZZZ, The Death Set, Soft Tigers, Like Whoa and Muscles.
In more recent times and noteable events Ajax also went fourth and concieved his own label ‘Sweat It Out‘ and toted the young guns of tomorrow with releases from Oh Snap, Gameboys Gamegirls, Edu K, Killa Queenz, Redial, Dcup and mix volumes from Miami Horror and a second with party-monsters Act Yo Age behind the trouble.
Its been said that Gus is thinking along the same direction whilst his little bro U-Go-B is moving around Sydney doing his disco thing.
You can catch the guys tomorrow (Saturday) at We Love Sounds in Sydney feat Bobmo and the gang. I’ll also try fish up some of the monthly installments they dropped years ago and let you relive some of the glory (hole) days!
