i know there would be people out there waiting for this track as it has featured in a lot of stereoheroes various mixtapes. with an obvious beetroots influence this well and truly a banger to add to your set.

I am writing this, not to be cynical, but to provoke a reaction.
Disclaimer* These points reflect my opinions on a broad range of topics in terms of dance music and clubs and have been compiled from what I have seen happen over the last 3 years. This article can relate to anyone around the world who visits this blog but im sharing my opinions from a view point of living in sydney
Social Media – 5 years ago, you would get an sms from your friend saying ‘come to this club’, essentially making the club night a small network of friends. Everyone would know at least know 2 or 3 people in the club and it would lead to friendships being forged. With the introduction of Facebook, the club experience has become much more stranger laden, mainstream and profit focused. Tip – take a risk and look at promoting your night another way. Ask a promoter pre facebook/myspace how they promoted their nights. It may take 5 mins longer but you will command a lot more respect if you can pull a killer night off without the help of Facebook.
Deadbeats – thanks to Facebook everyone know what the F*&^ is going on. Deadbeats are the guys who make the clubs less friendly. They are there to either pick up a “chick” or kick some guys arse for brushing across their rats tail. Think the general male population needs to focus less on their next lay and actually enjoy the music.
Noob Night Holders – “earn your stripes” before attempting to run a night, rather than go to your mum or dad, get a couple of grand and rape everyone’s facebook with invites.
Globalisation of dance music (dance music saturation) – The lines between genres of dance music are thinning and music is becoming more of a generic formula in terms of creating what would be considered popular. It should be compulsory for every dj to spend a certain amount of hours a week looking more deeply into blogs/beatport.
Local Support act djs – They take less risk in terms of music variety in the fear of having their music rejected by the crowd and not looking cool. So instead of hearing something fresh when you walk into a club, you are more likely to hear a shitty cold play or pon de floor remix and a bunch of 17 year olds dancing. NOTE – selling out does not make you a good dj. If I or any other person who has a half decent taste in dance music wanted to listen to cheese, I would go to my little sisters ipod.
Railroading – practise your mixing till your ears bleed please before you get the pleasure of playing in a club. Respect the crowd by making the beats match and giving us something fresh to listen to.
Flyers – If you are going to theme your party on your flyer, actually go to the effort of buying a few things and theme the club rather than making it the same old bland venue and relying on people to dress up to create the desired atmosphere. Holding a night should not always be about making a profit.
Throw some heavy latin drums, italidisco hooks, and tech percs into a cauldron. Heat until simmering and you have this dancefloor pleaser. only a mere 4 months out (har) it’s always worth a shot at guessing who’s going to grace the many stages at field day for 2011.
in a year that’s been overloaded with new releases both in live dancey band stuff and dj specific anyone could really be heading downunder for a boogie.
last year featured belg duo 2manydjs, the presets, major lazer, the proxy, fake blood and even french house king fred falke.
so who do we think will be there?
Justice – Strong
Pretty strong pick, they are currently in the studio, toted for a late 2010 release and well.. we haven’t heard from the guys in a while and a source says it’s a go-er.
Die Antwoord – Low
South Africa represent! The spliff smoking, in your face, quasi rappers have been touring all over the shop in the wake of the ‘$o$ release. Have been quoted as playing Big Day Out so chances are pretty low.
Aeroplane – Strong
Aeroplane’s album is a whisker away from being released and already scoring some butterfly invoking reviews. They did a quick stint around Australia late late 2009 so it’s about time the now solo vito flew the roost and got back to our sunny shores.
Crystal Castles – Medium
We’ve seen Alice Glass a few times and more recently parklife 09 I think.. but along with a new album comes a new sound and hopefully new levels of total loss of mind.
SebastiAn
Ed Bangers go to man for distortion SebastiAn hinted new material around christmas on the xmas special sampler with ‘Threnody’ a full 13 minutes of noise in some strange tribute to the beginning of sound. Again, with whispers of an album later this year it would be a treat to bring in 2011 with some heavy noise!

Lazerhawk is outta Austin, Texas but sounds more like a futuristic french robot from 1982.
the ‘redline’ lp is one of those things that could have slipped under the radar and found little to no success especially holding a rather generic car/lazery name and image but if you enjoy your kavinskys, russ chimes and justin fausts then this will be right up your alley.
pure brilliance from the class of ixx with this beautiful remix of la’s active child and ‘when your love is safe’.

“Whis This” is a Milan-based fidget/crunk project born in 2009. The two djs/producers behind the name come from quite different musical backgrounds; Gianluca (LeBatman) is a french-touch/electro producer and dj, while Ale (Mad Thug) comes from a techno scene. They both released tracks and remixes on their own before meeting and deciding to put together their own personal backgrounds, tastes and experiences to create the unique sound of Whis This. taking sounds from the past and things and from the future ‘o dedo’ is a loud rave tropi-cool sorta business transaction and if that’s not really your vice then the sbtrkt and bird peterson remixes will lay down with some heavy dub.

the count and sinden have been known for their experimental sounds and projects and ‘after dark’ a collaboration with the mystery jets was yet another opportunity to express themselves within the dance-indie music soundscape.
the original has a slightly more groovy feel taking complete advantage of Blaine Harrisons retro and lulling vocals with mixes from c.r.s.t, buraka som sistema and oliver twizt all bringing along their personalities to the single.

most people have been caught sleeping when it comes to the new Midnight Juggernauts release ‘Crystal Axis’.
the juggers have always found themselves in the shadows of more marketable bands but seem content slowly outing themselves into the rays of success as time passes with no doubt their 2010 release will hurry things (have had a listen, it’s good).

following on with the justin faust loving he passed over his ‘flutschfinger mixtape’, now i did some googling on what exactly that is and the only thing that really helped me was a german wikipedia entry.. but then again i can’t actually read german so that’s about as far as i got.
guessing it has something to do with an orifice and a finger but if anyone know’s what it means, please share.

Following the successful entry into the australian festival proving grounds in 2009 stereosonic is back for 2010 featuring a menagerie of talented dance and dance pop legends such as tiesto, major lazer and calvin harris!
Some of the more left field artists such as night slugs l-vis1990 and domino records duo Optimo have my palette already salivating for some real dance tunes.
