Good Sounds, Oh Dear!
Categories: Music

Feeling a bit nostalgic i thought i dig through my collection and find some gems i thought you guys might like. MSTRKRFT have just released their second album which I thought lacked in a big way most of the songs are the same and some of the choices on vocals were a bit how do you say? shithouse. Come on Jahmal from the The Carps. Are you serious. But I digress, the first track i have for you is an old MSTRKRFT remix hope you enjoy.
Services – Element Of Danger (MSTRKRFT Remix)
The next is a track from The Qemists that isn’t as old as the MSTRKRFT doozy but in terms of dance music I guess you could say its old. This track has a bit of a Crookers influence but I’m a bit partial the sound of this the vocal is a nice complement to the beats, I think this track would hold up quite nicely if you were to let this loose on a midnight dance floor in a dark space.
The Qemists - Dem Na Like Me (A1 Bassline Remix)
Next up is a track from Dan Mckie his track ‘banjo monkey’ sees Dan re-working an original piece of country banjo, guitar and harmonica music and blending it with a latin influenced stomping bass and vocal hook. This is a future terrace classic and a very unique sounding record. Hope you Enjoy.
Next is a Don Diablo track ft. Example a British stalwart that has been working with Don over the past few months helping produce on some records. Example has also seen the likes of Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, MJ Cole producing on his forth coming releases. Get another Don fix here
Don Diablo ft. Example – Instant Replay
Next hot off the press is a beautiful new remix from our mate Son Of Vader who has just given Lily Allen the treatment she deserves, dark, precise it hits the senses with a great vocal mix it commands you to keep listening which when you do it doesn’t disappoint which is surprising for some of the Lily Allen mixes i’ve heard. More Vader here.
Lily Allen – The Fear (Son Of Vader Nitemair RMX)
Bonus> The Bloody Beetroots/Mr Vega/Steve Aoki - Warp (Mr Vega 9.6 Remix)
Hatch.

I really dug the Bango Monkey song by Dan Mckie, a nice find. Although, shouldn’t it be called Banjo Monkey?
And I wouldn’t normally like the whole rap + distorted sidechain sortof sound, but for some reason the A1 Bassline remix of The Qemists – Dem Na Like Me, I actually thought was pretty good.
And speaking of sidechaining – bloody beetroots never cease to amaze me on ho far they can take it… kinda like
Sidechain Levels:
min Mid Max The Bloody Beetroots
