Tearing the digital envelope off the Filthy Dukes new EP ‘Messages’ I was overwhelmed to see not one, not two but THREE Kris Menace mixes (Edit, Mix and Remix.. go figure?) and of all things a Brookes Brothers (da-rum and bass) mix as well.
The original was a fairly fun tune, easy to picture the 3 boys jumping around smashing away at their combination of accoustic and electronic gizmos in pure synthpop fashion. Early roots for the Filthy Dukes was opening the club Kill Em All and not only hosting but playing with the likes of Mylo, Hot Chip, Justice, Crystal Castles, Simian Mobile Disco and LCD Soundsystem.

Very interesting short doco on the boys which gives you a little insight into a group not a whole lot is know about to your average.
The Kris Menace Remix is nothing short of spectacular, awsome build into a ‘menacing’ (yeah I went there) beat. Very refreshing in comparison to a few other notable french producers around.
