Speaking of which I’ve finally got mine sorted, was missing ALOT until a day or two ago.
I think one of the great aspects of blogging is alot of dj’s and producers actively seek out attention to help promote their music. This could be re-works, edit’s, remixes, covers, mashups, bootlegs and we love them all.
A Lot of these guys/gals go to great lengths and send the tracks out to a number of blogs hoping to be spotlighted and it’s quite hard to really tell what a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ track really is as so many people have different tastes.
What I wanted to do was get up a number of these beats and see what the response is, it will be a good opportunity to praise, criticize or even follow what you think is someone to watch out for in the future.

The Mod Squad (Modular) also posted up a great little remix of Cut Copy’s ‘Heart’s on Fire’ by Belgium based duo Aeroplane, they produce these constant array of funky little step beats (much like walking a set of stairs.. well in my mind).

Aeroplane also released an EP titled ‘Pacific Air Race’, it included the single ‘Pacific Air Race’ Original, ‘Pacific Air Race Dubclub Mix’ along with another Original ‘Above the Clouds’.

The whole thing is a 7-10 minute dream like journey through the skies and the ocean. I’d suggest you put together your Dollars, Euros or Pounds and go purchase it where you can (seems to be out of stock on a lot of sites).

Just as a note, this is just my opinion, and it will differ from other peoples opinions. So don’t get upset.
Hide and seek (DVW Spring Remix) – out of tune sounds really bugged me. This song should be left original. The beats cool, but not for this song. Original wipes people off their feet, remix doesn’t do it justice. Sorry
Fist of God (ROBO.tech Re.Edit) – Cool edit. Keeps the MSTRKRFT feeling to it, but has its own uniqueness. Could perhaps improve on structure, but that’s being picky. I like it.
Paris is Burning (Timothy Marc Remix) – Not to my tastes, but it sounds pretty well produced. It does sound a a bit too empty in places though. I think it also needs more flow.
Give It Up (Timothy Marc Bootleg) – Again, not to my tastes. It’s also pretty repetitive. A few FX and the kick comes in and out a few times, and that’s the most variation.
What is Love? (Arrow Remix) – Cool intro, and has good bits. But gets repetitive, mostly when it gets back into the continuing “What is love” *scratch noise* (~3:30ish). Some variation would be welcome, and maybe a better scratch noise?. Other then that, not too bad.
Verdens Storste Land – Cool samples, and I like the song. Has a nice laid back, groovy vibe to it. Nicely structured too.
Zero (DiscoWeirdo’s Re-Edit) – Dark and dubby, which is cool! I like this edit, good stuff. Will definitely be looking out for more from DiscoWeirdo’s
Whats My Name (The Crow Remix) – It’s not really my thing, cos I hated the original. But I can see this appealing to quite a few people. It’s well done.
The Shrine – Cool song.. but it’s not really Stoney Roads type.. is it? Either way, I enjoyed it.

I thought that Paris is Burning mix was pretty good, think its a tad minimal but theres always a spot for minimal eh eh eh
